Education & Work MPowerment Project

MPowerment is a peer led and peer ran program by members who named themselves "POWERFULL". The job readiness program provides education and work opportunities, access to GED training, as well as engaging social networking for people living with HIV (PLWH). Activities, including meetings and classes, are held weekly at our community space in person or virtually. We also provide Community Health Worker (CHW) training, New Solutions to Life, Healthy Relationships and Stigma Fighters support programs, resume building, mock interviewing , basic computer training sessions, and financial literacy training among others. Transportation can be provided for job related activities. We also have open lab access to computers to facilitate job searching and resume updating. Incentives are provided for participation. The program agenda varies depending on the preferences of the POWERFULL group members!
